Jay~ A rare diamond with a heart of gold~
My best friend, Jamie, was in the early stages of being treated for cancer and was told that he had
an extremely high chance of pulling through. However, he contracted Chickenpox and Pnuemonia and
wasn't strong enough to fight the Chickenpox once it had spread to his lungs, which led to his
death. I feel that not enough emphasis is put into how serious Chickenpox really is!! Jamie would
still be here had the hospital acted faster and had known the severity of Chickenpox!
Jamie was going to survive the cancer, but died of Chickenpox!??! No matter how many times I say
this to myself, it still sounds insane!! Even the hospital that was treating him for the cancer,
didn't see the Chickenpox as a problem, putting no importance to it, and left it to take over his
body, causing his death, which could have been avoided!!! This "illness" is a killer, in children
and adults, so PLEASE do not underestimate it!
Jamie was the most genuine and caring person I have ever met and I am so lucky to have know him! We
shared so many amazing memories together and I will cherish them forever! His life should be
celebrated for how truly wonderful he really was! I miss him dearly!
A smile can hide the tears, a laugh can hide the pain, but nothing stops the longing to have you
back again!! I MISS YOU JAY!! ♥

Jamie was a great friend like a brother -i shared so many things with him .I first met J back in 1996 when we worked together we stuck close for many years having a lot of fun along the way.Such a funny guy who lived life on the edge.I still talk to J in my head when i hear certain tunes that we used to listen to, and just to be close just because he went to soon and i wasn't ready to say goodbye and he is someone i will dearly miss...RIP my good friend We shall meet again.
